The consultation process is one of the most important parts of the treatment. This must be donebefore the procedure takes place. It is always best to provide consultations in person face to face, but if this isn’t possible there are other options such as video calls (such as face time, skype)would be the next best thing.
During the consultation, the client is required to fill out a consultation form that discloses andmedical history, the client is afforded the opportunity to discuss any questions about theprocedure, such as what the process is, which styles are available and how it would look on
them.
The artist can analyze the client's treatment area and determine how long the procedure wouldtake, understand the style and the personality of the client and most important give a confidentpresence to the client making them feel as though they are in great hands and are being takencare of a professional. This is an opportunity to not only build trust with the client but meet theclient, manage expectations and also provide a patch test to ensure the client is not allergic to anyof the products being used. The consultation is what really determines whether or not you secure that appointment. Keep in mind your client will judge you in 30 seconds of meeting you so makesure you look the part and treat your client professionally.
Make the effort to understand your client, earn their trust, build their confidence in you, answer as many questions as possible, be informative and provide quality photos of recent work you
have done (before and after’s).
